CBS News reports that Miami area Uber driver Alejandro Andres Tochoytochoy is facing charges of sexually assaulting a tourist. According to Miami-Dade police, Tochoytochoy picked up an intoxicated woman around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023. The 25 year-old woman’s friends ordered an Uber following a night out.

While on the way to the destination, the woman chose to lay down on the rear seat of Tochoytochoy’s vehicle as she was feeling sick. She fell asleep, only to awake to find Tochoytochoy allegedly fondling her. The woman, who was frightened, quickly exited the vehicle near her destination.

The woman subsequently identified Alejandro Tochoytochoy as the man who sexually assaulted her. Police located Tochoytochoy and following an interview arrested him and transported him to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Tochoytochoy was charged with sexual battery on a helpless victim and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
